About

Narrative forms is a blog by Aubrey Keus devoted to the use of story and narrative in the design and construction of useful things. It is one part technical, one part procedural with bits of philosophy thrown in for good measure.

There is real value in understanding how the narrative form is used to guide design decision making. Stories build perceptual frameworks. They exist all around us, filling the intellectual æther, from the movies and television we watch, to the novels and theatre we are consumed by. We should learn from the form, extract the ore and discard the dross.

This site is my humble attempt to document the narrative forms and learn from their usage.
